Yesterday, McKenzie Wagner, a 6th grade student in Canyons School District, introduced us to some creative and powerful characters in her new book, Benotripia! McKenzie told us how she followed her dream of becoming an author and encouraged us to follow our dreams, as well. The assembly was perfect for our class because we've been working on becoming better writers by adding sensory details that paint a picture in the readers mind.
